The Journey of Discovery lesson series offers students an introduction to our digital collection of stories and artefacts linked to our shared history. The Journey of Discovery Collection follows the 9 themes of The World Reimagined, giving us the opportunity to reconsider our past and present, so we can imagine and create a new future, together.
This lesson is an introduction to our Journey of Discovery Collection. Students are encouraged to explore a few of the modules and create Top Trumps cards to show some of the key learning they discover.
With a focus on the Abolition and Emancipation module in the collection, students create a fact sheet detailing someone or something they discover that had an impact on the Abolition of enslavement.
Using inspiration from the Still We Rise module students plan an active citizenship campaign to make a change to something they are passionate about.
